LOSS OF CHILDHOOD (2015 - 21)

A series of intimate performances to camera recorded through black and white photography.

In these performances Miller uses her body as a vessel of transgression and subversion to mourn the loss of childhood and desire to return to the womb as an adult. Her intimate actions probe at her body as a young woman in a melancholic longing for the nurturing and life giving body of her mother. These works depict a vulnerability within a process of being and becoming.
