In these works Miller scrutinises the labour of femininity through material properties and their position in relation to her body. Central to these works are time-based acts of physical endurance. She holds a number of tableaus, which gradually decompose as they become increasingly difficult. Through durational performance and moving image her struggle is exposed as a critique of the pressures put on women’s bodies.
