REINCARNATION (2016 - 18)
A series of durational performances recorded through photography and moving image.
Here Miller scrutinises the labour of femininity through material properties and their position in relation to her body. Central to these works are time-based acts of physical endurance. She holds a number of tableaus, which gradually decompose as they become increasingly difficult. Through durational performance and moving image her struggle is exposed as a critique of the pressures put on women’s bodies.
