Miller covered a pair of gloves and shoes in metal tacks to wear in performance, making the objects extremely heavy, impractical and effect day to day movement. Their brutal appearance transformed her extremities into weapons, whilst subverting the violence of this imagery through animal like grooming gestures to advocate cleaning and care as methods to overcome violence.
