ENTER THE RIVER (2016)

A series of outdoor site-responsive performances along The River Thames at high and low water recorded through photography and moving image.

These works explore the historical darkness of the Thames, concerning incidences of suicide and crime involving the river in real life and fiction. Dressed as a character based on ‘lost bodies of matriarchy’ Miller’s actions in the river and along its banks attempt to inhabit the liminal space between life and death and resurrect the lost.

Materials: mud; river reeds

Second-hand clothes: brown leather jacket; beige trousers; auburn human hair wig; brown knee high 70’s snakeskin boots
